We recently caught up with Kadi, a PI Care Support Worker, who has been working for PI Care since the end of last year.
With over 14 years experience in a range of settings, including care homes and community settings, Kadi brings a wealth of expertise and experience to the role.
The difference that Kadi has seen in SI whom she supports alongside other team members, is transformational.
Initially, SI was supported 3:1 and could often be found bolting for the door. With the support of Kadi and other members of the team, a secure and safe environment, and an honest and transparent rapport have been established, and SI has grown in confidence, self-esteem and self-belief.
With support now at 2:1, SI is encouraged towards greater independence at every step, to the extent that she now goes out on her own, something that to begin with, for safeguarding reasons, would not have been deemed possible.
When asked to comment on what it’s like to work for PI Care, Kadi commented: “I love what I do. The PI Care Management Team are just great. At any time of day or night, I know they will pick up the phone. I’m really enjoying supporting SI.”
Kadi, we would like to take this opportunity to thank you for the support you provide to SI. The difference both you and your colleagues have made is evident and is very much appreciated by us all here at PI Care!
